chelsi's birthday

February seventeen I turned the big 21. We spent the weekend at Sean's mom house. We ate pizza, Shari made me a cake and I broke a pinata. It was very enjoyable. Sean bought me a digital camera that I absolutely love! I've been taking pictures like crazy and they actually turn out! Sean's friend Don had a birthday on the 14th so we celebrated both birthdays.

Kamela

I was talking to my mom today and she said she wanted to see updated pictures of Kamela so I thought I'd update everyone on how our little princess is doing. It amazes me how much she learns and grows from day to day. She's such a joy and she's growing up more and more each minute. She loves to take walks with me. We walk to the mail box together everyday. After her bath she'll take my hand, walk me to the door and say "bye bye" meaning she's ready to go! She also loves helping me in the kitchen. Dishes are her favorite, she likes eating the bubbles so we're still working on that! We look through photo albums about once a month or so and when she sees a picture of her when she was younger or one of me and Sean she'll point to it, get a big smile on her face, say "awww!" and then kiss it. It's the cutest thing I've ever seen!

Sean and I have a heated waterbed and one of Kamela's favorite things to do is climb up on it and just lay in our bed.

She loves putting things on her head no matter what it is!

The kitchen is probablly her favorite room in the house. She likes to hang out under the sink from time to time.

We say prayers every night before she goes to bed and if we forget, she folds her arms to remind us.

She's a good little talker. She could talk on the phone for hours and she's not even 2 yet!

Christmas!

Our holiday season was a very fun and relaxing one. We didn't go anywhere, we just stayed home, ate food and enjoyed eachother's company. We got a turkey basket from the navy so we were able to have a big turkey dinner on Christmas day. It was mine and Sean's first time cooking a turkey but with help from dad it turned out great! Kamela had a blast opening presents even though I'm pretty sure she liked the wraping paper and the bows more than the actual presents! She also had her first taste of eggnog and was allowed to eat a little junk food. She loved that!

Afternoon with Travis and Jenny

Travis and Jenny took a vacation to see Jenny's parents in Washington and luckily we were able to get together for the afternoon. It wasn't a long visit but we had lunch, exchanged presents, and enjoyed eachother's company. Their Christmas present to us was a beautiful framed picture of the Seattle temple. They enjoyed seeing how big Kamlea had gotten and it was wonderful to see them and catch up a little bit!

Rockin Around the Christmas Tree!

It's December, that means it's Holiday time and Christmas is in the air! A few weeks ago Sean, Kamela and I decorated our Christmas tree. We had the Christmas music playing and even had an eggnog toast afterward. It was so fun and reminded me of old times and traditions.

Thanksgiving

This was the first Thanksgiving I spent out of Idaho and away from my family. I have to admit I missed them and the traditional game of spoons at aunt Candice's. Sean and I did have a very nice Thanksgiving though. Sean's mom and brother came up to spend the day with us. We had a delicious ham dinner which we ate on the floor using the coffee table because we don't have a kitchen table or chairs. Everyone went around and said what they were grateful for, which is my favorite tradition. We spent the afternoon enjoying eachother's company and having nice family time. Sean's mom left at about 5 that evening but his brother stayed with us until Saturday. Sean and him had fun playing the xbox 360 all weekend! This Thanksgiving experience made me realize that I do love and miss my parents and my siblings and I wish I could spend every holiday with them. But I also realized that it's ok to celebrate the holidays and start new family traditions with my husband and daughter.

Halloween

Kamela's second halloween! We went trick or treating to all the stores in the mall Kamela had a total blast and enjoyed the candy a little too much! We also went to a friend's house so they could see us in our costumes. I was a ref, Kamela was the most adorable lion ever! and Sean was a derranged clown!
