Happy Birthday Kamela Lynn!

On August 9, 2006 our beautiful Kamela was born to us. It has been 3 years since that day and I can not believe how fast time has gone by and what a beautiful girl she's becomming. Kamela has developed into an independent, self assured, energetic, helpful, fun-loving little girl. She has taught me so much about life and enjoying all the fun, precious moments. She gets so excited about the littlest things, and she gets so scared and worried when her mom or dad is hurt. Kamela has such a compassion toward others, Whenever she hears a baby cry she gets this really concerned look on her face and says "Oh no! baby crying!" And she loves giving hugs or kisses to anyone who needs them.
Kamela you are such a wonderful little girl and your father and I are so grateful we were blessed with you as our daughter. I love watching you grow and learn and the person you're becoming. Thank you for being our precious daughter. I hope you have a fantastic birthday. We love you with all of our hearts! Happy Birthday Sweetheart!
We celebrated her birthday yesterday. Sean's mom came up and took her shopping and then we had hamburgers for dinner and cake and ice cream for dessert. It was a lot of fun and Kamela had a blast. She also made out pretty good with the presents!

hotdog eating contest

Last weekend was Sean's command picnick and he entered the hotdog eating contest. The reward for the winner was 3 days off of work. He came in 3rd, there were only four contestants, but he still got rewarded with one day off work anytime he wants. He ate 4 hotdogs in 5 minutes, a lot more than I could! and he did great. I think next time they should do watermelon, or something a little more easier to eat, and more appetizing!

he almost lost it at the end!

Fun in the Sun

The weather here has been absolutley beautiful latley, we're talking 75-80 degrees and it's lasted more than 3 days which is a big deal for Oak Harbor! So we've been trying to get out in the sun as much as we possibly can. Kamela and I go to the park pretty much everyday but it was so nice today that we had to do more than just that so we decided to run through the sprinkler. She had a total blast and I got a little tan. It was lots of fun.

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a fun family weekend. On Friday we went to a nearby state park called Fort Casey, we had a picnick and flew Kamela's Dora kite that she got from Sean's grandma. Fort Casey rounds out a quartet of decommissioned forts built to guard against the threat of attack during the 1904 Russo-Japanese War. We got to walk in and around all these buildings. On Saturday we went out to eat, on Sunday we went to a park and flew kamela's kite again only this time it flew away! We tried to catch it, but it was too fast. Then Monday we had a barbeque. It was lots of fun
